Vern Thomas is a Leadership Consultant of Positive Management Leadership, Inc. Vern has been in his role since 2004.
An innovative entrepreneur, Vern is the founder of Vernon S. Thomas Consulting, a leadership consulting firm that provides executive and individual coaching, 360 feedback, team dynamics, conflict resolution, working in a diverse environment, DISC and Values – Personal Interest, Attitudes and Values assessments and talent management.
Vern is a certified consultant and facilitator for the TotalView Assessment System and the Counterproductive Behavior Index (CBI).
Prior to forming his own consulting firm in 1993, Vern had a successful 25-year career with International Business Machines (IBM), where he held various positions in leadership development and training, technical marketing and customer support, as well as human resources talent management.
Vern earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and completed numerous graduate courses in business management. Vern is a Certified Professional Behavioral and Values Analyst (CPBA and CPVA). In addition, he is certified as a minority supplier from the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council.
Vern is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), University of Southern California General Alumni Association, National Black MBA Association, and the Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA). Vern is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
